White-Washed Cover Art Exhibit

  • Albion District Library 501 S Superior St Albion, MI, 49224 United States (map)

The exhibit explores the recent and not-so-recent pattern of representing protagonists of color as white on the dust jackets of the books they inhabit.  Come learn about the power of images to represent and misrepresent what is real.  The exhibit opens at 10am on 5 October with refreshments and brief remarks by head of youth services Jamie Bernard.  It will run throughout the month.

Please note the library is closed on Fridays and Sundays. Visit the library's website for more information: http://www.albionlibrary.org
